I’m happy to deliver a talk to students. However, as my novels contain adult themes, all attendees would need to be 18+. Please use the contact form if you’d like to arrange a booking.

I’ll give the short version because otherwise this could be a very long reply!
a) Write regularly, read often, develop your craft, and make sure you submit your work to agents / editors in the correct format.
b) Writing, like all the creative arts, is a precarious business. Many novelists have a day job, or a back-up income. Some, like me, are also freelance writers.
